Benefits of pineapple

The pineapple comes from the family Bromeliaceae.

For its bromelain content, pineapple promotes good circulation,this because of this component dissolves blood clots which can form in the blood, this is a good way to prevent circulatory problems such as thrombosis, strokes, blood pressure and hypertension.

Pineapple is a good diuretic because: it contains asparagine and bromelain which help to neutralize the sodium and caffeic acid, removes excess water from the body, prevents fluid retensioning, prevents diseases such as gout, uric acid and arthritis.

Pineapple influences the digestion process, eliminates the heaviness and heartburn.

There are records which talks about the benefits of pineapple from ancient times.

Pineapple is a tropical fruit that was found by the Spanish during the conquest of America, the Indians knew it as “excellent fruit” or Ananas, because it was used to relieve stomach upsets.

For their part, Native Americans used it as vulneraria for its ability to disinfect the scars of wounds. They put a piece of pineapple in the form of plaster over the wound and this facilitated healing of wounds and bleeding in the skin.

Diverse cultures in China have been used pineapple to eliminate intestinal worms.
